Xiaomi launched his latest smartphone Mi Play in China Officially. The Mi Play is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to come with a waterdrop notch display with Helio P35. The device comes with a gradient finish glossy body and will be available in Black, Dream Blue, and Twilight Gold color options. Even with the 19:9 display, the Mi Play comes with thick bezels on the front.
About the Specification, the device has 5.84 inch Full HD+ display (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution with 19:9 aspect ratio. In the devise the new MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor built on the 12nm FinFET process. According to the company, this new chipset with Dual (CPU and GPU) Turbo technology offers enhanced performance when needed. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage on this device.
About the Camera, the Mi Play sports 12MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP single front camera for selfies.
On the rear of the devise, has a circular fingerprint sensor. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable and supports 5V/2A (10W) fast charging.
Connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
The devise will runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 10 skin on top. The Xiaomi Mi Play with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1099 (approx USD 160 / INR 11,000). It will is currently available to pre-order and goes on sale starting December 25th in China.
